Taiah Wilson
Daughter of Mr. Joseph Wilson and Ms. Kristi Neskahi. Ms. Taiah Wilson was raised in
Shiprock, New Mexico, Teec Nos Pos Arizona, and Cortez Colorado. Family is one of the
most important values in her life. Ms. Taiah credits her care and compassion for
representing herself, her family, and her tribe from her father Mr. Joseph Wilson’s
example. Ms. Taiah Wilson has been an ambassador for both herself and the Navajo Nation Tribe during her time at Colorado Northwestern Community College, CNCC. Continuously advocating for inclusive space, resources and representation for all indigenous people that come after her. Ms. Taiah Wilson has lead the way for representation by dedicating her voice and time to CNCC’s cultural committee efforts. Her time in softball began with her mother Ms. Kristi Neskahi coaching her for six years into high school. Now Ms. Taiah has been a starting pitcher for CNCC in the National Junior
College Athletic Association, NJCAA. An achievement Ms. Taiah is incredibly proud of.
Softball has taught Ms. Taiah how to be a stronger leader but most importantly how it takes a team to make a lasting impact that can continue after their time. Ms. Taiah’s coaches,
friends and family support have been the pillar for her drive. Using her platform as a collegiate softball player and representative of her tribe, Ms. Taiah will continue to leave a positive impact as she continues her path into the medical field
