The CCCS Academic and Student Affairs Division in collaboration with the VP Council will host the second annual Excellence Through Equity-Minded Teaching Virtual Symposium scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2022, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. The event will be take place using Zoom. This virtual event will offer attendees opportunities to participate in guided roundtable discussions, attend a keynote lecture, and peer led topical sessions.

The purpose of this symposium is:

  • To develop an openness to new teaching practices by seeking points of connection and interaction with differing perspectives; and
  • Learning to harness the power of diversity as a source for creativity, innovation, and/or productive collaboration.

Participants will be able to:

  • Share and collaborate on efforts that advance the areas of student learning, student success, closing equity gaps, and advancing one’s own teaching practice.
  • Gain knowledge of evidence-based strategies and technologies that support improvements in student learning, student success, and closing equity gaps; and how to apply those strategies and technologies in their classroom and pedagogical practices
