Robin Schofield is the Director of High Impact Practices at Pikes Peak Community College. High Impact Practices (HIPs) are equity teaching practices that engage students and are positively associated with deeper learning and higher retention and graduation rates, especially for students historically underrepresented in college success measures. Schofield is also an English associate professor at PPCC, and, among many other accomplishments, she created PPCC’s Service Learning program, Diversity Global Learning program, and led the college Food and Housing Task Force, resulting in The Community Table (a dignified food pantry and educational space) and the Mobile Food Market, in partnership with Care and Share. Nationally recognized for her work in High Impact Practices, Robin Schofield was the keynote at IUPUI’s National Assessment Conference in 2020, where she spoke on High Impact Practices’ equity design and results. She also serves on the organizing board for the national association for High Impact Practices, HIPs in the States, and has contributed to numerous national conversations about HIPs in the community college.
